Start or Stop Service

Both water and sewer service is started and stopped by the owner calling the District at 425-868-1144 during normal business hours (7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday).

Starting Water/Sewer Service

For quicker service, please have the following information available when you call the District:

• Applicant name
• Mailing address
• Service address of property to start water/sewer service
• Phone number of applicant
• Date to start service
• If renting, the owner/landlord must call the District to initiate a starting service request, add tenant’s name and provide other required information. Tenant can inform the District they are moving in, but cannot initiate a starting service request and add their name to the account. The billing will remain in the owner/landlord’s name. The tenant will receive duplicate bills at the owner/landlord’s request.

Stopping Water/Sewer Service

For quicker service, please have the following information available when you call the District:

• Account number of water/sewer service to stop
• Service address
• Forwarding address where final bill should be mailed
• Date to stop service
• If renting, the owner/landlord must call the District to initiate a stopping service request and remove tenant’s name from the account. Tenant can inform us they are moving out, but cannot initiate a stopping service request and remove their name from the account. Only the owner/landlord can request removal of the tenant’s name from the account.

After contacting the District to stop service with the information above, we will read the water meter and prepare a final bill that will be sent to you no later than the next regular billing cycle for your service address.
